Shipping & Handling Charges

The Banana Pier Gift Shop typically ships packages via UPS Ground. If you would like expedited service, please call the gift shop at (757)664-1076 in order to complete your order. From time to time, additional shipping services may be used at our discretion. A delivery tracking number will be provided when possible.

Delivery and service charges include our costs for customer service as well as processing and shipping.

Large or breakable items may require additional shipping charges. The Banana Pier Gift Shop reserves the right to add additional shipping and handling charges as needed to safely ship your item(s). We will contact you for approval if an adjustment needs to be made to your shipping total.

All in stock items are shipped within two to three business days of receipt of your order. Delivery time will vary based on the shipping address and carrier. Delivery time may also be affected by holidays and weather conditions.

If you prefer to order by phone, you may call us with your order at (757) 664-1076 or toll-free at (800) 664-1080 ext. 41076 during regular shop hours:

  • Memorial Day – Labor Day: 7 days a week, 10 am – 5 pm
  • Rest of the year: Closed Mondays, Tuesday – Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm; Sunday, 12 noon – 5 pm EST.
Payment Information

The Banana Pier Gift Shop accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. All credit cards must be issued by a bank in the United States and all charges and prices listed are in US dollars.

Order Confirmation

We will automatically send an email order confirmation to the email address indicated in your account. If you use Spam-filtering software, be sure to add bananapier@nauticus.org to your list of approved email names so that you will receive confirmation emails from us. You will also receive status updates regarding your order during its processing.

Refunds & Returns

If for any reason you are not totally satisfied with your order, please return it to us (unused and in its original packaging and with all relevant documentation) within 30 days of delivery. We recommend that the goods be returned by a recorded delivery service to ensure that the returned products arrive to us safely. The Banana Pier Gift Shop will refund the value of the goods (excluding delivery costs) to the original form of payment only. The customer is responsible for original and return shipping charges. This return policy does not affect your statutory rights, which remain unaffected.

Special Discounts for Nauticus Members

Members of Nauticus receive a 10% discount on most shop merchandise. Nauticus members can receive a promotional discount code to enter during the checkout process. To receive your discount code, if you have not received it already, please call our membership department at (757) 664-1000 ext. 43117 or (800) 664-1080 ext. 43117. Make sure you have your membership number available.

Product Availability

We do our best to keep our current inventory up to date. However, if a product is not available at the time of your order, we will notify you by email or phone. We can hold your order until we receive the merchandise or refund your purchase. (You can place another order once the merchandise is back in stock.

Sales Tax

Virginia sales tax is added to all purchases made by a Virginia resident or shipped to a Virginia resident.

Anti Credit Card Fraud Statement

To protect against credit card fraud, all transactions are processed through a PCI compliant credit card processor and your details are logged by our website. Credit card fraud is a serious crime and any fraudulent activity will be referred to relevant financial and law enforcement bodies. We reserve the right to reject any transactions deemed suspicious.
